Control Module for Adaptive Cruise Control -J428-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VERSION 2: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the quick release.

The stud bolts in the adapter frame are pre-set. If necessary, correct the setting.

-- Place the control module on a soft and clean surface.

-- Measure the dimension -a- at the upper stud bolts using the : VAS6335 and correct if necessary.

-- Measure the dimension -a- at the lower stud bolt using the : VAS6335 and correct if necessary.

-- Position the control module for adaptive cruise control -1- on the baseplate -3-.

-- Carefully press the new quick release -4- onto the stud bolt -2-.

-- Turn the quick release clockwise onto the retaining plate to the stop in direction of -arrow-.

-- Calibrate the adaptive cruise control (ACC). Refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, CALIBRATING .
