Intake Manifold Lower Section With Fuel Rail, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Replace the O-rings between the fuel injector and fuel rail and coat them lightly with clean engine oil.
-- Replace the spring elements -arrow- on all fuel injectors.
-- Install the intake manifold lower section with a new seal.
-- Place fuel rail on and press evenly on to fuel injectors.
-- Install all the retaining bolts for the intake manifold and fuel rail by hand.
First evenly tighten fuel rail to cylinder head with new bolts from inside to outside.
Tighten the bolts that connect the intake manifold lower section to the cylinder head.
-- Install the fuel rail connecting pipe.
First tighten connecting line union nuts by hand and then tighten to specified tightening specifications.
Ensure that the connecting pipe is not touching any other components.
-- Install the high pressure pump. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the intake manifold upper section. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
