NOTE:

The anti-theft alarm system must be deactivated before disconnecting the battery.

By disconnecting the battery negative terminal clamp (current disruption), safe work on the electrical system is guaranteed. Disconnecting the battery positive terminal clamp is only required when removing the battery. Always follow the instructions for connecting the battery.

When working on pyrotechnic components (for example the airbag, belt tensioner), it is necessary to disconnect the battery with the ignition turned on, contrary to the following description.
