Overview - Shift Unit

Lubricate the bearing areas and the sliding surfaces.

Sleeve
- For the selector shaft
- Removing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING
- Installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING
Gearshift Shaft with Gearshift Cover
- Replace together
Locking Elbow
- For adjusting the shift mechanism
- Removing. Refer to SHIFT UNIT, SERVICING .
- Installing. Refer to SHIFT UNIT, SERVICING
Relay Lever
- Installed position. Refer to Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed Position .
Clip
Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
Cap
- For the transmission ventilation
Gearshift Lever
- Illustration can differ from the original parts
- Insert so that master spline aligns with shift rod. Refer to Installing the Transmission Shift Lever
- Can be replaced with the shift mechanism still installed
- Installed position. Refer to Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed Position .
- Adjust the gearshift mechanism after installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
Nut
- 23 Nm
- Replace after removing
- Self-locking
