Fuel Delivery Unit/Fuel Level Sensor, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
There is a risk of the fuel tank exploding! After installing a new or completely emptied fuel tank, fill it immediately with a minimum of five liters of fuel. Do not allow the fuel pump to run when the fuel tank is completely empty.
Risk of leaking.
- When inserting the locking flange, the seal must not be damaged or crushed.
There is a risk of fire due to leaking fuel.
Install the suction jet line and delivery line until they click into place.
Install the new, dry fuel delivery unit seal into the fuel tank opening.
Be careful not to bend the fuel level sensor when installing the fuel delivery unit.

Only coat the inside of the seal with fuel.
Pull on the connectors to make sure they are secure.
-- Pay attention to the installation position of the locking flange. Refer to FUEL DELIVERY UNIT INSTALLATION POSITION .
