Transmission Fluid Pump, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Install the transmission fluid pump input shaft -A- all the way into the transmission. Turn the input shaft while doing this.

-- Always use a new metal seal -B-.

-- When positioning the transmission fluid pump, pay attention to input shaft splines and correct seating on alignment pins.

-- Tighten the transmission fluid pump bolts to the tightening specification.

Pay attention to the different transmission fluid pump bolts -1-. Refer to Different Fluid Pump Bolts .

-- Tighten the transmission fluid pump bolts to the tightening specification.

-- Clean transmission oil pump cover sealing surface on transmission housing.

-- Set new transmission fluid pump cover -A- in place and tighten new screws -arrows- in diagonal sequence and in several steps to the tightening specification.

Add the transmission fluid and adjust to the correct fluid level. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID .

-- Install the left front wheel housing liner. Refer to FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Install the wheel. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
