Component Location Overview - Display And Control Head, CLIMATRONIC

NOTE:

Depending on the equipment version, not all the buttons are used and the layout may vary.

  1. Left Temperature Display
    • Shows the set temperature for the driver side
  2. Left Seat Heating Button
    • The seat heater has 3 settings. The LED indicates the current setting.
    • If no LED is illuminated, the seat heating is switched off.
  3. Windshield Air Distribution Button
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
  4. Center Air Distribution Button
    • Air distribution to the upper body via the center vents
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
  5. Lower Air Distribution Button
    • Air distribution in the footwell
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
  6. Recirculation Mode Button
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
    • Manual and automatic recirculating air mode
    • Press the button for the recirculating air mode to prevent polluted air from entering the vehicle interior.

      Recirculating air mode is switched on automatically under the following conditions:

      • When the operating the windshield washer system,
      • When the Air Quality Sensor -G238- is activated.
      • When reverse gear is engaged (this function is only active for two minutes after the engine is started).
      • Blower speed on the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- off.
      • Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- "OFF"
  7. Right Seat Heating Button
    • The seat heater has 3 settings. The LED indicates the current setting.
    • If no LED is illuminated, the seat heating is switched off.
  8. Right Temperature Display
    • Shows the set temperature for the front passenger side
  9. Right Temperature Control Knob
    • The selected temperature will be shown in the display
  10. AC  Button
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
    • If the AC  button is deactivated, the A/C compressor will be set close to zero delivery. If the AUTO  button is active, the heating and ventilation will continue to be controlled. electronically
  11. MAX AC  Button
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
    • The A/C system will run with the maximum cooling output
  12. Sync  Button
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
    • Current driver side temperature setting is applied to the front passenger side
  13. Blower Adjustment Knob
    • By turning the knob, the blower speed can be individually adjusted.
    • If the blower speed is manually adjusted, the AUTO  function is automatically deactivated.
  14. AUTO  Button
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
    • In auto mode, the Climatronic holds the selected vehicle temperature automatically. For this, the temperature of the blowing air, blower speed and air distribution is automated.
  15. OFF  Button
    • Press the OFF  button to turn off the heater and A/C.
  16. Left Thermostat Adjustment Knob
    • The selected temperature will be shown in the display
  17. Rear Window Defogger Button
    • The LED illuminates when the setting is active
    • It only functions when the engine is running and switches off automatically after 10 minutes
  18. MAX Defrost Button
    • Air sucked in from the outside is directed to the windshield causing the recirculating air mode to shut off automatically
    • In order to remove fog from the windshield as quickly as possible, the air must be dehumidified at temperatures above 1.5 °C (35 °F) and the blower must be set to a higher blower speed
