Transmission Mount, Removing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Torque Wrench 1332 40-200Nm: VAG1332
- Engine and Gearbox Jack: VAG1383A
- or Engine and Gearbox Jack: VAS6931
- Transmission Support: 3282
- Transmission Support - Adjusting Plate: 3282/71
- Ladder: VAS5085 or commercially available
-- Read and follow the High-Voltage Vehicle Electrical System General Warnings. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
-- Pay attention to the High-Voltage System Danger Classification. Refer to [For engine(s) EAGA] High-Voltage System Danger Classification .
Extremely dangerous due to high-voltage.
Electrocution can cause death or severe bodily injury.
- Have the high-voltage system de-energized by qualified personnel.
-- Disable the high-voltage system. Refer to [For engine(s) EAGA] High-Voltage Battery Unit .
-- Perform a visual inspection of the high-voltage components in the work area. Refer to [For engine(s) EAGA] Safety Precautions .
-- Remove the Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics - JX1-. Refer to [For engine(s) EAGA] Electric Drive Power and Control Electronics .
-- Remove the pendulum support. Refer to PENDULUM SUPPORT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Secure the Engine and Gearbox Jack under the Three-Phrase Current Drive - VX54-. Refer to Three-Phrase Current Drive -VX54- CROSSMEMBER, REMOVING .
-- Remove the bolts -1- and -2- from above using the Ladder: VAS5085 (the illustration shows a different bearing).
-- Remove the transmission mount.
