Vehicles With Ignition Lock

Procedures for which the ignition needs to be switched on. Refer to PROCEDURES FOR WHICH THE IGNITION NEEDS TO BE SWITCHED ON .

NOTE:

Check functionality of key individually.

-- Separate keys so that the function of each key can be checked individually.

-- Use the keys to mechanically lock and unlock the driver door.

-- Insert each key into the ignition and start the engine.

NOTE:

If engine switches off by itself after about 3 seconds and "SAFE" appears in the odometer display, the key has not been programmed to the immobilizer.

Repair measures: Guided Fault Finding (Programming vehicle keys).

-- Note in the delivery check list the number of keys checked and given to the owner.
