CAUTION: Disconnect battery ground wire before working on electrical system.

On vehicles with Telematics, activate Telephone/Telematics Control Module J526 service mode before disconnecting Battery A → Service mode, activating/deactivating .

If the Battery A is reconnected, follow the procedure for disconnecting and connecting the Battery A → - 27 BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL . Deactivate Telephone/Telematics Control Module J526 service mode → Service mode, activating/deactivating .

Description

The Radio Navigation System (RNS) combines the functions of a navigation system with those of a vehicle radio.

The system consists of:

Radio receiver part
5-inch color display
Navigation system with angular acceleration sensor
CD drive for navigation system

Navigation System Antenna R50 connection
Antenna Selection Control Module J515 / Left Antenna Module R108 connection

Enhancements:

CD Changer R41 connection
Navigation/TV Tuner J415 connection

Notes

Additional information Navigation system plus operating instructions.

For CD preparation, the CD changer R41 wiring harness is already installed in the vehicle. The connecting wire can only be used with genuine Audi CD-changers R41.

Diagnosis is performed using "Guided Fault-Finding".

Repairs on antenna wires → - 97 WIRING .

Repair to CAN bus lines → - 97 WIRING .
