A/C Compressor, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
-- If the A/C compressor is replaced (for example due to inner damage), pay attention to the notes for replacing the A/C compressor. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit Components, Replacing or COMPONENTS, REPLACING .
- There is an unspecified amount of refrigerant oil in the removed A/C compressor. Therefore observe the information on replacing the A/C compressor. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit Components, Replacing or COMPONENTS, REPLACING .
- Check the bolting points on the A/C compressor and on the bracket prior to installation. The contact surfaces must be clean and free of rust and grease.
- If equipped, check the contact surfaces for the ground wire before attaching and clean if necessary. Refer to Contact Surface Cleaning Set VAS6410 .
-- Evacuate and charge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit or Working with A/C Service Station (1 Of 2) / Working with A/C Service Station (2 Of 2) .
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Initiate the basic setting of the A/C system through the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024- and activate the power-controlled valves using one of the routines stored there. "Charge/flush the refrigerant circuit stop routine" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
-- Re-install the remaining removed parts in reverse order.
High voltage is extremely dangerous.
Severe bodily injury or death by electrocution or arcing is possible.
- Have an Audi high-voltage technician or an Audi high-voltage expert energize the high-voltage system.
-- Re-energize the high-voltage system. Refer to the appropriate service information .
-- Operate the Electrical A/C Compressor -V470- via the "compressor cut-in" function. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function for the A/C system.
-- Start the A/C system after charging the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING AFTER CHARGING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
