Refrigerant Oil

CAUTION:

Malfunctions due to filling the A/C system with the wrong refrigerant oil.

Only fill the refrigerant circuit with approved refrigerant oils . The correct refrigerant oil depends on the manufacturer and the type of Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor installed, refer to MAINTENANCE, DIAGNOSIS .

Malfunctions due to improper filling of the A/C system with refrigerant oil.

Too much refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit increases the pressures and reduces the cooling output of the system.
Too little refrigerant oil in the refrigerant circuit can lead to the A/C compressor failure due to lubrication problems.

Danger of corrosion in the refrigerant circuit.

Refrigerant oil absorbs moisture. Do not use refrigerant oil from containers that have been left open for a lengthy period of time, refer to A/C SYSTEM, GENERAL INFORMATION .

Important Information:

Refrigerant oil attracts moisture. Close any opened containers immediately after use to prevent moisture from entering.
