Power Steering, Removing And Installing: Installing: Notes

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal.Note The Following: 

-- Bleed steering system. Refer to POWER STEERING SYSTEM, BLEEDING .

-- Check the steering system for leaks. Refer to STEERING SYSTEM, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .

-- Check the hydraulic fluid level and fill if necessary. Refer to appropriate service information.

-- Install wheels and tighten. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .

-- After installation, a vehicle alignment must be performed. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT

-- Perform basic setting for Steering Angle Sensor -G85-.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

Body (Repair Group 01; 27; 50 through 97) 

Electrical System (Repair Groups 01, 27 and 90 through 97)

16 Steering column electronics control module J527 

16 Steering column electronics control module functions 

16 Steering column electronics control module basic setting (repair group 94) 

Follow the instructions on the screen to perform the basic setting.
