Transmission Fluid Cooler: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the transmission fluid cooler and tighten the bolts. Tightening specification, see -item 13- in the TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLER OVERVIEW .

-- Connect the supply and return lines to the connections to the transmission fluid cooler

When connecting, the clip engages audibly with a "clicking noise" into the connection -1-.

-- Make sure the clip is seated correctly.

The clip must be seated completely in the groove on the coupling -2- and the connection -1-. Dimension -a- should be a maximum of 5 mm.

If the dimension is greater than 5 mm, the clip was overstretched and it must be replaced. Refer to QUICK RELEASE COUPLING SEAL KIT .

-- Adjust the hood latch. Refer to "Hood" in Description and Operation .

-- Check the transmission fluid level and fill if necessary. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING AND ADDING .
