-- Move the selector lever into >>P<<.

-- Loosen the bolt -2- on the selector lever cable -1-.

-- Pry the selector lever cable -1- off the selector lever -3-, for example, using a wrench -2-.

-- Squeeze the retainers and remove the selector lever cable from the cable bracket -arrows-.

-- Move the selector lever from >>P<< to >>S<< and back to >>P<< several times.

• The selector lever and the selector lever cable must have ease of movement at the same time.
• Selector lever cable boot undamaged.

-- Reinstall the selector level cable with the >>loosened<< adjustment screw.

-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .
