Component Location Overview - Electrical Components: Notes

1. Transmission Control Module -J217-
   • The control module sends and receives data from the data bus
   • Installed location on the Jetta, from MY 2015, with a 2.0L - 85 kW engine. Refer to Transmission Module (2.0L) .
   • Installed location on the Jetta, from MY 2015, with a 2.5L - 125 kW engine. Refer to Transmission Module (2.5L) .
   • Can be checked see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
2. Engine Control Module
   • The control module sends and receives data from the data bus
   • Component location and removing and installing not available at this time.
3. Multifunction Transmission Range Switch -F125-
   • Component location. Refer to Multifunction Transmission Range Switch F125 .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Adjusting. Refer to MULTIFUNCTION TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH, ADJUSTING .
   • Can be checked see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
4. Valve Body
   • Component location. Refer to Valve Body .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • The components can be checked in see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
   • For allocation refer to the parts information.
5. Sensor Wiring Harness
   • 8-pin wiring harness
   • With Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
   • Component location. Refer to Wiring Harness 8-Pin .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to REMOVING .
   • For allocation refer to the parts information.
6. Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-
   • Component location. Refer to Wiring Harness 8-Pin .
   • Can be checked in see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
7. Solenoid Valve Wiring Harness
   • Wiring harness, 14-pin
   • Component location. Refer to Wiring Harness 14-Pin .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to SOLENOID VALVE WIRING HARNESS (14-PIN CONNECTOR), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • For allocation refer to the parts information.
8. Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
   • Installed location: the shift lock solenoid is located in selector mechanism.
   • Can be checked see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
9. Selector Mechanism
   • With the Tiptronic Switch -F189-
   • The Tiptronic Switch -F189- is a component of the selector mechanism.
   • Replace the selector mechanism if faulty. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Can be checked in see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function
10. Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182-
    • Component location. Refer to Transmission Input Speed (RPM) Sensor G182 And Output Speed (RPM) Sensor G195 
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Can be checked see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
11. Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-
    • Component location. Refer to Transmission Input Speed (RPM) Sensor G182 And Output Speed (RPM) Sensor G195 
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Transmission Output Speed Sensor -G195-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Can be checked see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding  " function.
12. data link connector
    • Component location. Refer to Data Link Connector (DLC) 
13. Transmission Range Display -Y6-
    • Component location. Refer to Instrument Cluster Transmission Range Display (Y6) 
    • Removing and installing. Refer to the appropriate information INSTRUMENT PANEL or INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
