The Aerial System

The aerial system is basically the same for all North American MIB radio systems. The FM/AM radio aerials are located in the rear window. GSM Antenna -R205- , and the GPS Antenna -R50- are located in Roof Antenna -RX5- .

Roof Antenna -RX5- and the impedance transformers are standardized components of the MQB.

NOTE:

The impedance transformers function using an operating voltage of 8.5 volts. If higher voltages are applied to the impedance transformers, the electronics in the impedance transformer will be destroyed.
