Depending on the engine, parts of the air filter are to be removed. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR FILTER HOUSING [FOR ENGINE(S) CNSB, CNSA, CXBB, CXBA, CXCB, CXCA] or OVERVIEW - AIR FILTER HOUSING [FOR ENGINE(S) CRUA] .
Depending on the engine, parts of the air routing are to be removed. Refer to OVERVIEW - INTAKE MANIFOLD [FOR ENGINE(S) CNSB, CNSA, CXBB, CXBA, CXCB, CXCA] or OVERVIEW - INTAKE MANIFOLD [FOR ENGINE(S) CRUA] .
Depending on the engine, charge air system components are to be removed from the air routing. Refer to [FOR ENGINE(S) CNSB, CNSA, CXBB, CXBA, CXCB, CXCA] OVERVIEW - CHARGE AIR SYSTEM and OVERVIEW - CHARGE AIR SYSTEM [FOR ENGINE(S) CRUA] .
-- Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
Vehicles With Refrigerant R134a
-- Drain the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION and/or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, EVACUATING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION .
Vehicles With Refrigerant R1234yf
-- Drain the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, DISCHARGING and or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, EVACUATING .
Danger or frostbite due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.
Frostbite on the skin and other parts of the body is possible.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Extract refrigerant and open the refrigerant circuit immediately.
- If more than 10 minutes elapse after extracting the refrigerant and the refrigerant circuit was not opened, extract the refrigerant again. Pressure can develop in the refrigerant circuit due to evaporation.
-- Remove the bolt -5- of the upper refrigerant line -3-.
-- Remove the upper refrigerant line -3- from the condenser -1-.
-- Remove the bolt -3- for the refrigerant line -2-.
-- Remove the refrigerant line.
