Securing On Engine And Transmission Holder: Procedure

Drain the ATF. Refer to Procedure .

-- Secure the transmission to the Holding Fixture VW 540 -arrows-.

-- Using the Shop Crane VAS 6100, insert the transmission into the Holding Fixture VW 313 or Engine and Transmission Holder VAS 6095.

WARNING: The center of gravity of the transmission is outside center of rotation at holding fixture. To prevent back swing, a second technician must hold transmission housing when rotating the transmission on the Holding Fixture VW 313.
