Gaskets, Seals, And O-Rings
- Replace the O-rings, sealing rings and seals.
- Once a seal or gasket has been removed, check contact surface on housing or shaft for burrs and damage and repair as necessary.
- Before installing a sealing ring, apply a thin coating of ATF to the periphery and the sealing lip depending on the installation location.

- Only use ATF in the ATF area. Other types of lubrication cause faults to occur in the transmission hydraulics.
- The open side on the seals faces the oil.
- Check the ATF level. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING
