REMOVE THE CLIP ON THE Distance Regulation Control Module -J428- "Master", Distance Regulation Control Module 2 -J850- "Slave"
Replace the clip if the adjusting screw -1- was removed during the assembly.
The clip will get damaged while removing it.
- The Distance Regulation Control Module -J428- "Master" and Distance Regulation Control Module 2 -J850- "Slave" are removed as well as the nuts for the adjusting screws.
-- Remove the stud bolt -1- in direction of -arrow- using a suitable tool -2- in direction of -arrow-.
-- Place a screwdriver between the hook and the housing.
-- Bend the hook with the screwdriver until it breaks off.
- Do this to all the hooks.
-- To prevent the broken hook from getting caught on the housing, remove it from the inside of the clips using needle nose pliers.
-- Remove the clip with needle nose pliers as illustrated.
-- Insert the new clip into the hole in the housing from the left and push it in by hand until it audibly locks.
- Make sure the tabs are installed correctly.
-- Install the adjusting screw making sure it is parallel inside the hole.
-- Install the screw after aligning it.
-- Install the adjusting screw until dimension -a- is reached.
Measure Dimension a on All the Adjusting Screws.
Dimension -a- = 43 mm.
-- Repeat this procedure on all the other clips, if necessary.
-- Install the ACC sensor into the bracket and calibrate the distance regulation. Refer to DISTANCE REGULATION (ACC), CALIBRATING .
