19.1 General Information
NOTE:
- Familiarity with the function and operation of the area view camera system is essential when addressing complaints.
- Refer to the appropriate service/repair/system information.
- Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester "Guided Fault Finding" when performing service work or Fault Finding.
the peripheral camera system has 4 cameras. They are located in the radiator grille, in both side exterior mirrors and in the rear lid. The system helps the driver when parking, maneuvering or when driving off-road. The pictures from the camera appear on the Infotainment screen.
Camera Views That Can Be Selected
- Bird's-eye view: the pictures from all four cameras show the view around the entire vehicle.
- Front peripheral camera (front view): the camera in the front bumper cover shows the area in front of the vehicle.
- Side peripheral camera (side view): the cameras in the left and right exterior mirrors show the areas next the vehicle.
- Rear peripheral camera (rear view): the rearview camera shows the area behind the vehicle.
Malfunction Recognition And Malfunction Indicator
The "Guided Fault Finding" function is to be used for troubleshooting of one of the systems described as in chapter "Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System".
