Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Torque Wrench 1331 5-50 Nm :VAG1331 

Short Description 

To check the selector lever cable for ease of movement, remove it from the transmission and position the removed end so it does not make contact anywhere.

Then selector lever is moved and the selector lever cable installed again on the transmission.

After that, selector lever cable must be adjusted. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .

Do not grease the selector lever cable connection!
