Overview - Shift Unit

Lubricate the bearing areas and the sliding surfaces.

1. Sleeve
   • For the selector shaft
   • Removing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING 
   • Installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION HOUSING, SERVICING 
2. Gearshift Shaft with Gearshift Cover
   • Replace together
3. Locking Elbow
   • For adjusting the shift mechanism
   • Removing. Refer to SHIFT UNIT, SERVICING .
   • Installing. Refer to SHIFT UNIT, SERVICING 
4. Relay Lever
   • Installed position. Refer to Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed Position .
5. Clip
6. Seal
   • For the selector shaft
   • Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
7. Cap
   • For the transmission ventilation
8. Gearshift Lever
   • Illustration can differ from the original parts
   • Insert so that master spline aligns with shift rod. Refer to Installing the Transmission Shift Lever 
   • Can be replaced with the shift mechanism still installed
   • Installed position. Refer to Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed Position .
   • Adjust the gearshift mechanism after installing. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, ADJUSTING .
9. Nut
   • 23 Nm
   • Replace after removing
   • Self-locking
