WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Volkswagen Jetta, 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, and 2011 Volkswagen Jetta. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- A/C Service Station - VAS6007A - (or succeding model)
- Torque Wrench 1331 5-50Nm VAG1331
- Engine Bung Set - VAS6122
NOTE:
The refrigerant circuit mst be flushed with refrigerant R134a under the following conditions. Refer to SERVICING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
- If there is dirt or other contaminants in the refrigerant circuit.
- If vacuum reading is not maintained on evacuating a leak-free refrigerant circuit (pressure build-up due to moisture in refrigerant circuit).
- If refrigerant circuit has been left open for longer than normal (for example following an accident).
- If pressure and temperature measurements in the refrigerant circuit indicate the likelihood of moisture in refrigerant circuit.
- If there is any uncertainty as to how much refrigerant oil is in the refrigerant circuit.
- The A/C compressor has to be replaced due to internal damage (for example, noise or no output)
