Multimedia System Control Module -J650-, UMI

The Multimedia System Control Module -J650- is installed in the center console.

Removing 

-- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

-- Disconnect any devices connected to the Multimedia System Control Module -J650-.

-- -Remove the rear center console trim, refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Release the retainers -2- on the bracket for the Multimedia System Control Module -J650- -1-

-- Pull the Multimedia System Control Module -J650- -1- with the bracket and trim upward from the center console -arrow- until the connector is accessible.

-- Release and disconnect the connector from the Multimedia System Control Module -J650-.

-- Remove the screws -1-.

-- Remove the trim -2- in direction of -arrow A- from the bracket -3-

-- Remove the Multimedia System Control Module -J650- in direction of -arrow B- from the bracket -3-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening Specifications 

Component Tightening Specification
Screw for trim to bracket 2 Nm


The Multimedia System Control Module -J650- is installed in the center console.

Removing 

-- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the ignition key.

-- Remove any devices connected to the Multimedia System Control Module -J650-.

-- Remove the rear center console trim, refer to Center Console, Comfort and Highline .

-- Release the catches -2- on the bracket for the Multimedia System Control Module -J650- -1-.

-- Pull the Multimedia System Control Module -J650- -1- with the bracket and trim upward from the center console -arrow-, until the connector is accessible.

-- Release and disconnect the connector from the Multimedia System Control Module -J650-.

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the trim -2- in the direction of -arrow A- from the bracket -3-.

-- Remove the Multimedia System Control Module -J650- -4- in the direction of -arrow B- from the bracket -3-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening Specifications 

Component Tightening specification
Screw for trim to bracket 2 Nm
