EGR Valve 2 -GX6-, Checking: Notes
General Description
The EGR Motor 2 -V339- is a positioning motor used to actuate the exhaust recirculation valve. The exhaust gas recirculation rate is determined by means of a performance map in the Engine Control Module -J623-. EGR Motor 2 -V339- receives a pulse-width modulated signal from the Engine Control Module -J623- to control the flow of exhaust gas into the intake manifold.
The EGR Valve 2 -GX6- And/Or EGR Motor 2 -V339- Contains The Following Components:
- EGR Motor 2 -V339-.
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Position Sensor 2 -G466-.
The EGR Valve 2 -GX6- and/or EGR Motor 2 -V339- components cannot be serviced separately, and must be serviced as a unit.
Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required
- Multimeter.
- Wiring Diagram.
- Scan Tool.
Test Requirements
- Fuses OK.
- Battery voltage OK.
- Switch OFF all electrical and electronic accessories.
- Vehicles with Auto. Transmission, ensure Selector Lever position is in "P".
- Vehicles with Man. Transmission, ensure Shifter Lever position is in "N" with Parking Brake applied.
