Transmission To Engine Tightening Specifications

For the following:

• GTI (2006-2009) with a 2.0 L TFSI engine
• Eos with a 2.0 L TFSI engine

1. M12 Bolts -

   80 Nm

   • If Insert Tool - 18 mm T10179 is used: 65 Nm.
2. M10 Bolts -

   40 Nm

3. Arrows -

   Alignment Sleeves

-- Replace all the bolts for the transmission mount.

-- First, install all the new bolts by hand.

-- Then tighten the transmission mount bracket -A- to transmission bolts -1- to 40 Nm (+) an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

-- When tightening the bolts -2-, the bracket can be pried into position with a screwdriver. Tightening specification for the bolts -2- : 60 Nm (+) an additional 90° (1/4) turn.

Starter to transmission. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .

The subframe bolts must be replaced.

Subframe to body. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
