Reading the Transmission Code on the Transmission Installed

To read the transmission code letters under the console directly from the transmission, the engine and transmission must be supported. The left subframe mount bracket -A- must be removed. Lower the engine/transmission just enough until it is possible to slide the bracket toward the rear. Do not lower further otherwise the pendulum support will be damaged.

NOTE: Additionally the transmission code it on top of the transmission near the selector lever cable -arrows-.
