Halogen Headlamps, Adjusting
The headlamp adjustment from MY 2014 is invoiced separately.
Halogen Headlamp Overview:
- Left Front Turn Signal Bulb -M5- or Right Front Turn Signal Bulb -M7-
- Left High Beam Headlamp Bulb -M30- or Right High Beam Headlamp Bulb -M32-
- Left Position Lamp Bulb -M1- or Right Position Lamp Bulb -M3-
- Left Low Beam Headlamp Bulb -M29- and Right Low Beam Headlamp Bulb -M31-
- Side marker: either as trim; or USA version, side marker LEDs and orange
On hybrid vehicles visually inspect the hybrid components in the work area. Refer to HYBRID COMPONENTS, VISUALLY INSPECTING FOR DAMAGE OF THE HIGH-VOLTAGE COMPONENTS AND WIRES .
Contact to the responsible high-voltage technician is something needs clarification.
On hybrid vehicles it is necessary to remove the engine cover in order to adjust the headlamp. Refer to ENGINE AND DESIGN COVER - TOP -, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Left Headlamp Lateral and Height Adjustment:
- Lateral adjustment
- Height Adjustment
In some markets the adjusting screw for the side adjustment -1- is sealed. Lateral adjustment is not permitted.
-- Turn the height adjustment adjusting screw -2- and the lateral adjustment adjusting screw -1- until the correct adjustment is reached.
Adjusting the right headlamp is identical and in the same sequence.
Adjustment screws for right headlamp are arranged symmetrically.
