Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing: Notes

Install In Reverse Order Of Removal. Note the following:

If only the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- was replaced, use the previously used control module bolt.
If the steering column was replaced, the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- is already installed on the new steering column.

-- Install the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- -1- with the pin in the groove -arrow- in the steering column.

-- Tighten the bolt.

NOTE:

If the same steering column and the same Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- are being installed, then it is not necessary to adapt the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- again.

If the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- was replaced, then it must be reprogrammed.

If the steering column is replaced, the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- is already installed on the new steering column and does not need to be modified.

If the steering column with an Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- was replaced, the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- must be adapted.

Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
