Condenser, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

Procedure when installing a new A/C compressor 

-- Determine the refrigerant oil quantity of the removed A/C compressor by letting drain in a measuring container.

NOTE:

Catch the refrigerant oil from the new A/C compressor for reuse in a suitable container.

-- Drain the refrigerant oil from the new A/C compressor.

-- Add the quantity of refrigerant oil determined from the remove A/C compressor, in equal amounts in the empty new A/C compressor.

-- Coat the new seals with refrigerant oil before installing the refrigerant line.

CAUTION:

- Never start the engine with the refrigerant circuit empty.

Vehicles with Refrigerant R134a

-- Fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to WORKING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION .

-- Perform the leak test on the closed line connections of the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .

Vehicles with Refrigerant R1234yf 

-- Fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Perform the leak test on the closed line connections of the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT  .
