Overview - Front Display And Control Head: Notes
NOTE:
For the Climatronic with 2-zone temperature control and 4-zone temperature control, there is only one Front A/C Display Control Head -E87-.
The Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- must be coded for the corresponding version.
In vehicles without seat ventilation, covers are installed instead.
Note safety precautions. Refer to START/STOP SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
- Defrost Button
- Left Thermostat
- Change front left temperature setting by turning.
- AUTO
Button
- In automatic mode the Climatronic maintains the selected interior temperature automatically. With this setting the vent air temperature, the blower speed and the air distribution are controlled automatically.
- Air Conditioning (A/C) Synchronization Button
- This button transfers all driver air conditioning settings to the other seats.
- Display for Diagnostic Function
- The display appears when there is communication between the vehicle and Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- Selected Interior Temperature Display, Left Side
- Can be changed from degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit and vice versa.
- Button for Lowering the Blower Speed
- Blower Speed Display
- In automatic operation the actual blower speed is displayed.
- Display of the "Auto" Function
- Parking Heater Display
- The display appears when the parking heater is switched on.
- Air Distribution Display
- Displays the front air distribution setting.
- "A/C" Display
- The A/C compressor is set to almost 0 delivery when the AC button is off. If the AUTO button is activated, the heating and ventilation mode continues to be controlled electronically.
- Display of the Residual Heat Function
- Button for Increasing the Blower Speed
- Selected Interior Temperature Display, Right Side
- Can be changed from degrees Celsius to degrees Fahrenheit and vice versa.
- "OFF" Display
- Illuminates when the heating and A/C function is switched off via the 18 button.
- Recirculating Air Mode Button
- Press the button for recirculating air function to prevent polluted air from entering interior.
- Setting indicated by the LED.NOTE:
Recirculating air is switched on automatically under the following conditions:
When the windshield washer system is operated.
When the Air Quality Sensor -G238- is activated.
When the reverse gear is engaged (this function is only active for two minutes after the engine is started).
Blower speed on the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- off.
Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- "OFF"
- "OFF" Button
- Press the "OFF" button to turn off the heater and A/C.
- Right Thermostat
- Change front right temperature setting by turning.
- Rear Window Defogger Button
- Rear window defroster remains on for 4 to 20 minutes, depending on exterior temperature.
- Right Seat Heater Button
- The seat heater has 3 settings. The LED indicates the current setting.
- If no LED is illuminated, the seat heater is switched off.
- Right Seat Ventilation Button
- The seat ventilation has 3 settings. The LED indicates the current setting.
- If no LED is illuminated, the seat ventilation is switched off.
- REST
Button
- When residual heat function is switched on the residual heat of engine is pumped by a coolant pump to the heat exchanger.
- Air Distribution Button
- Pressing the button regulates front air distribution.
- The air distribution display shows which setting is active -item 11- OVERVIEW - FRONT DISPLAY AND CONTROL HEAD List Item:Air Distribution Display.
- AC
Button
