A/C Compressor Drive Plate, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Lightly coat the rubber elements -B- with soapy water (as a lubricant) to install.

-- Install the rubber element -B- into the drive plate -A-, as illustrated.

-- Insert the drive plate -A- with the rubber elements -B- into the drive plate -C- until it makes contact with the compressor shaft.

NOTE:

This illustration shows the rubber element -B- in version "1". Rubber elements -B- of version "2" are joined to each other at top.

-- Screw drive plate -C- onto compressor shaft -A- by rotating in direction of -arrow E-.

-- Tighten the drive plate -C- to 30 Nm by rotating it in the direction of the -arrow E- using a commercially available band wrench (with webbed band). Conterhold the A/C compressor shaft -A- on the A/C compressor shaft -A- with a counterhold tool -B-.

NOTE:

Depending on the version of the A/C compressor (the A/C compressor shafts are different), use a wrench or, for example, a :T10001/10  from the :T10001  or :3079  to counterhold.
