Ignition System General Information

For proper function of the electrical components, a voltage of at least 11.5 V is required.
It is possible that the control module will recognize a malfunction and store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) during some tests. Therefore after completing all checks and repairs the DTC memory must be checked and if necessary erased, refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, CHECKING AND ERASING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) MEMORY .
If the engine only starts briefly and then turns off again after Fault Finding, repairing or checking components: the immobilizer may be blocking the Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM must then be adapted using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in "Guided Functions".
