Automatic Transmission Fluid, Draining And Filling

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

-- Turn off the engine.

-- Remove the plug from the transmission pan -arrow-.

-- Remove the overflow tube -1- from the hole.

-- Drain the transmission fluid.

-- Reinstall the overflow tube.

-- Install the adapter for oil filling VAS 6262 A to the oil container. Be sure to read the instructions. Refer to Note the following information .

-- Install the adapter for filling ATF oil VAS 6262/2 to the plug opening in the transmission pan hand tight.

-- Connect the adapter for oil filling VAS 6262 A to the adapter for filling ATF oil VAS 6262/2.

-- Fill with 3 liters of transmission fluid.

-- Remove the adapter VAS 6262/2 from the transmission pan and install the plug with the old seal.

-- Move the selector lever into the "P" position.

-- Start the engine.

-- With the brake pressed, move the selector lever through all the different positions "P, R, N, D, S" at idle, holding it in each position for at least 10 seconds.

-- Move the selector lever into the "P" position.

-- Check the transmission fluid level and add as necessary. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
