MULTIFUNCTION Transmission Range Switch, Adjusting
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Setting Gauge T10173
-- Do not bend the selector lever cable.
Requirements
- The selector lever cable is disconnected from the selector shaft lever.
- The selector shaft is in the "N" position.
- The multifunction transmission range switch bolts have been loosened.
- The selector shaft lever is removed.
-- Install the setting gauge T10173 on the selector shaft -2- and turn the multifunction switch -1- just until the gauge locks onto the tab on the connector on the multifunction switch.
If the tab on the connector does not lock into the groove in the gauge, then the transmission is no longer in "N". In this case, shift the transmission into "N" using the gauge.
-- Secure the gauge to the selector shaft -2- with the set screw -3-.
-- Tighten the multifunction transmission range switch bolts -arrows- to 6 Nm.
-- Remove the setting gauge T10173.
-- Install the spring washer -2- and the nut -1- onto the selector shaft -4-.
-- Tighten the nut -1- to 13 Nm.
-- Check the selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, CHECKING .
-- Install the engine cover and the air filter housing. Refer to Removal and Installation .
