Comfort System Central Control Module J393

Depending on equipment, the following control modules are integrated in the Comfort System Central Control Module -J393- :

General Description 

Depending on equipment, the Comfort System Central Control Module performs the following tasks in the vehicle:

NOTE:

If the Comfort System Central Control Module is to be replaced, the work procedure REPLACING/CODING  to read out the codes stored in the module must always be performed.

After replacing the Comfort System Central Control Module, other functions of the Comfort System Central Control Module such as "anti-theft immobilizer", "anti-theft alarm system", "access/start authorization", "tire pressure monitoring system" and central locking system key must also be adapted, depending on vehicle equipment.

For these, start with adaptation of anti-theft immobilizer (ANTI-THEFT IMMOBILIZER CONTROL MODULE J362, ADAPTING ) and then the other, equipment-dependent functions of the Comfort System Central Control Module in any sequence.

The following comfort system functions can be adapted after connecting the vehicle tester, selecting "Guided Fault Finding", pressing the "Go to" button, pressing the "Function/component selection" button and selecting the menu items "Body", "Body Repair Work", "01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems", "Comfort system" and "Functions - comfort system central control module" :

DTC Recognition and Display

The Comfort System Central Control Module is equipped with On Board Diagnostics (OBD) which assists troubleshooting.

The "Guided Fault Finding" function is to be used for troubleshooting of the systems as described in VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS .
