Windshield Wiper Arms, Adjusting

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Torque Wrench V.A.G 1331/

-- Deactivate APP function. Refer to WIPER MOTOR ALTERNATING PARK POSITION FUNCTION, DEACTIVATING .

-- Actuate wiper motor into the end position and then switch off ignition.

-- Now set the park positions of the windshield wiper blades.

Driver Side

The gap dimension -A- between the center of the wiper blade and lower edge of the windshield must be 15 mm.

-- If necessary, set end position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM .

-- Tighten the bolt to the specification shown in WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM OVERVIEW .

Passenger Side

The distance -B- between the wiper blade and the upper edge of the plenum chamber cover must be 15 mm.

-- If necessary, set end position of windshield wiper blades by offsetting wiper arms.

Wiper arms, removing, refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM .

-- Tighten the bolt to the specification shown in WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM OVERVIEW .
