EVAP System Overview

NOTE:

The connector coupling must >>audibly<< engage when locking.

Note the color coding when installing the coupling, refer to Coupling Allocation !

Pull on the connector coupling to make sure it is secure.

Disconnect the connector couplings, refer to COUPLING, DISCONNECTING .

  1. Bolts
  2. Leak Detection Pump -V144-
  3. Vacuum Line
  4. Clamp
  5. Connecting Hose
    • Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister to leak detection pump
  6. Vacuum Hose
  7. Connecting Hose
    • Air filter to leak detection pump
  8. Air Filter
  9. Nut
    • 10 Nm
  10. EVAP Canister
    • Installed location: Inside the right rear wheel housing
    • Remove the nuts and pull the EVAP canister downward
  11. Vent Line
    • To the EVAP canister purge regulator valve 1
    • Clipped to the fuel tank
  12. Vent Line
    • From the fuel tank
