Video Cable: Installing
The video cable cannot be repaired. The cable must be replaced.
Be careful not to bend the cable when installing it and make sure it does not rub against anything.
-- Switch ignition off.
-- Position the 26-pin connect on the replacement cable near the radio.
Make sure the cable is long enough for removing and installing the radio later.
-- Guide the replacement cable directly from the slot for the radio toward the glove compartment.
-- Secure the cable to the instrument panel crossmember with a cable tie.
-- Attach the cable to the A-pillar with a cable tie.
-- Guide the cable under the A-pillar.
-- Route and secure the cable parallel to the main wiring harness.

Video Cable Connector Strip, Replacing
-- Disconnect the 54-pin connector (old) from the rearview camera system control module -J772- losen.
-- Open the (old) 54-pin connector and remove the video cable.
-- Open the (new) 54-pin connector on the replacement cable and remove the video cable connector strip.
-- Insert the new video cable connector strip into the old connector and assemble the connector housing.
-- Connect the connector to the rearview camera system control module -J772-.
-- Make a loop out of the extra wire length and secure it to the main wiring harness.
-- Shorten the faulty video cable and wrap it in the main wiring harness.
-- Perform a functionality test.
-- Check the DTC memory and erase it.
