- Replace after removing
- For attaching the DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- to the transmission housing
- Tightening specification and sequence Fig 3
DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743-
- with o-rings on connector
- Replace the o-ring after disassembly.
- Removing and installing. Refer to DSG Transmission Mechatronic -J743- .
Bolt
- Quantity: 5
- Replace after removing
- For attaching the transmission cover with seal to the transmission housing
- Tightening specification and sequence Fig 2
Clutch End Cover
- for the dual clutch
- Removing and installing. Refer to CLUTCH END COVER .
Dual Clutch

- Removing. Refer to DSG® CLUTCH, REMOVING .
- Installing DUAL CLUTCH, INSTALLING .
Bleed Pipe
- Pressed into the transmission housing
- Replace after removing
Bleed Cap
- placed on bleed pipe
Nut
- Replace after removing
- Torque: 20 Nm
Selector Lever
- Insert so that master spline aligns with shift rod
Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
Bolt
- Replace after removing
- Torque: 20 Nm +90°
Transmission Oil Cooler
- Removing and installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLER .
O-Rings
- Replace after removing
Cable Mounting Bracket
- For selector lever cable
Bolt
- Replace after removing
- Quantity: 2
- Tightening specification. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
Filter Housing
- Torque: 20 Nm
O-Ring
- Replace after removing
Transmission Fluid Filter
- Information on changing filter TRANSMISSION FLUID FILTER
- Replacing. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID FILTER .
Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182- and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor -G509-
- Both sensors are a single component and can only be replaced together.
- Removing and installing. Refer to Transmission Input Speed Sensor -G182- AND Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor -G509- .
Bolt
- Replace after removing
- Torque: 10 Nm
Alignment Pin
- Quantity: 2
- For centering the transmission fluid pump to the transmission housing
Gasket
- Replace after removing
Transmission Oil Pump
- Removing and installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID PUMP .
- insert with new seal
Transmission Oil Pump Cover
- With vulcanized seal
- Replace after removing

Overflow Pipe
- Plastic
- To drain the transmission fluid, remove the drain and check plugs, and remove the overflow pipe.
- The length of the overflow pipe determines the fluid level inside the transmission
- Torque: 3 Nm
Seal
- Replace after removing
Drain and Check Plug
- There is an overflow pipe with a 8 mm inner hex behind this bolt
- Drain transmission fluid above drain- and check plugs and remove the overflow pipe
- Torque: 45 Nm
