Wireless Ignition Node

Removal 

WARNING:

Wait two minutes for the system reserve capacitor to discharge before servicing any airbag components. Failure to do this may result in serious or fatal injury.

-- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove the knee blocker. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Remove the instrument bezel.

-- Remove the coaxial electrical cable connector (1) from wireless ignition node (3).

-- Remove the electrical connector (2) from wireless ignition node WIN (3).

-- Remove the screws (1) from WIN (2) and remove from instrument panel.

Installation 

-- Install wireless ignition node WIN (2) to instrument panel and install screws (1). Tighten screws to 2.5 N.m (22 in. lbs.).

-- Install electrical connector (2) to WIN (3).

-- Install coaxial electrical cable connector (1) to WIN (3).

-- Install instrument bezel.

-- Install knee blocker. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Connect negative battery cable, tighten nut to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.).

-- Program the WIN.
