Selector Mechanism Overview
- Selector Handle with Cover
- Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only the cover must be removed, refer to EMERGENCY RELEASE FROM "P" .
- Removing and installing, refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE .
- Center Console Cover
- For the selector mechanism.
- Removing and installing, refer to "Center Console" in, refer to Removal and Installation .
- Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever Cable
- With an integrated selector lever sensor system control module, with the selector lever, Tiptronic switch, selector lever park position lock switch and shift lever solenoid.
- The selector lever cable can only be replaced together with the selector mechanism.
- Do not grease the selector lever cable.
- Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:
SELECTOR MECHANISM AND CABLE, WITH THE SELECTOR HOUSING .
SELECTOR MECHANISM AND CABLE, WITHOUT THE SELECTOR HOUSING .
- Checking, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING .
- Adjusting, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .

- Selector Housing
- Available only together with the selector mechanism.
- Bolt
- 20 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
- Always replace.
- Quantity: 2
- For securing the cable bracket to the transmission.
- Cable Bracket
- For the selector lever cable.
- Lock Washer
- Always replace after removing.
- Lock Washer
- Always replace after removing.
- Installed position: The offset side faces forward, toward the front of the vehicle.
