Selector Mechanism: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.
Do not lubricate the selector lever cable.
-- Push the selector lever cable carefully onto the selector lever and insert it into the cable bracket.
-- Install the heat shield under the selector mechanism.
-- Install the exhaust system and align it free of tension. Refer to [For engine(s) CBTA,CBUA] Removal and Installation[For engine(s) CVCA] Removal and Installation[For engine(s) CPRA,CPKA] Removal and Installation .
-- Install the ashtray and center console cover. Refer to "Center Console" in Removal and Installation .
-- Install the selector lever handle. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER HANDLE AND COVER .
-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, ADJUSTING .
-- Check the selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, CHECKING .
-- Install the engine cover with air filter. Refer to [For engine(s) CPRA,CPKA] Removal and Installation[For engine(s) CBTA,CBUA] Removal and Installation .
