Control Line To Turbocharger, Checking
CAUTION:
When routing the vacuum lines, make sure they are not kinked, twisted or pinched. They could disable the vehicle.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Hand Vacuum Pump VAS6213
-- Remove the hose on the center connection for the Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve -N75- -arrow in I- as well as from the turbocharger vacuum diaphragm -arrow in II-.
-- Seal off the opening in the hose with a suitable blind plug.
NOTE:
Do not use threaded bolts or pins.
-- Connect the Hand Vacuum Pump VAS6213 to the other end of the hose and generator a vacuum of 0.6 bar.
-- Watch the pressure gauge on the Hand Vacuum Pump VAS6213 for approximately 30 seconds (sec.).
- The vacuum must not drop.
If the vacuum drops:
-- Replace the vacuum hose.
If the vacuum does not drop:
-- Reconnect the vacuum hoses.
