SERVICE INFORMATION
2009-2015 All models with RNS-510 - Replacement unit functionality incorrect
After replacing an RNS-510 radio/navigation unit there may be various functionality complaints including but not limited to:
- No sound output
- Rearview camera does not work
- Fader function incorrect
- Aux input does not function
- Phone button acts as a "Mute" button
The functions are related to the coding of the radio/navigation unit. After coding the RNS-510, a reset needs to be performed in order for the coding to take effect.
A reset can be performed by holding down the left and right arrow keys and the day/night button (could be a star button depending on age of RNS-510
) until the unit shuts 'OFF'. Release the buttons when the screen goes black. If the units does not power itself back 'ON' use the power button to turn unit 'ON'.
