Windshield Washer Pump V5: Notes

Check the windshield washer pump. Refer to WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP V5 => Checking the windshield washer pump .

NOTE:

The following illustration shows the two piece version of the washer fluid reservoir with the windshield washer pump installed. The procedure for removing and installing the windshield washer pump in a one piece reservoir is the same.

Removing 

-- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).

-- Loosen the front bumper cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Release and disconnect the hose connection -2- from the windshield washer pump -3- and use a suitable container to collect the washer fluid.

-- Pull the windshield washer pump -3- upward out of tank and disconnect harness connector -1-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Bleed headlamp washer system after completing assembly work. Refer to HEADLAMP WASHER SYSTEM, BLEEDING .
