Ignition Switch

When disconnecting and connecting the battery, always perform the work procedure as described in the repair information. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

Removing

- Remove the trim from the steering column.

- Disconnect the connector - 2 - from the ignition/starter switch - 1 -.






Only Kostal

- Free up the hole - 2 - under the seal - 3 -.






- Remove the cover - 1 - in - direction of arrow - using a small screwdriver.

Continuation for all vehicles

- Unlock the ignition/starter switch using 2 small screwdrivers - arrows -.






- Remove the ignition/starter switch - 1 - from the steering lock housing.

Installing

- Install the ignition switch into the steering lock housing until it clicks into place.

- Insert ignition key into lock cylinder and turn into position "Drive".






• Key must be located in "Drive" position.

Key positions of lock cylinder:

1 Position "Off"
2 Position "Run"
3 Position "Start"

- Reinstall all components accordingly in the reverse order.
