Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527) Without KESSY

The steering column electronic systems control module includes the following components and cannot be disassembled:

• Airbag spiral spring/return spring with slip ring (F138)

• Steering Angle Sensor (G85)

• Remove the transportation safeguard before installing a new steering column electronic systems control module.

• If steering column switch malfunctions occur, the coding of the steering column electronic systems control module must be checked. The procedure for removing and installing the steering column electronic systems control module differs between the two manufacturers.
